Apprentice Electrician

JOB SUMMARY:

The Construction team is looking for experienced Apprentice Electricians for current and upcoming project needs across San Antonio who will support the commercial construction team's Journeyman Electricians with installations, pulling and running wire, bending conduit, and installing fixtures for commercial construction projects per plans and specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist Journeyman Electricians and follow instructions to install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings
• Bend conduit, pull wire, install fixtures and set up plugs across job sites
• Ensure piping complies with electrical codes
• Perform all phases on construction phase from underground and rough-ins to punch-lists
• Replace conduit and wiring as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Apprentice Electrician license in the state of Texas
• 1+ years of experience working on commercial construction projects: Schools, hospitals, high rises, data centers, distribution/warehouses
• 1+ experience pulling wire, bending conduit, and installing fixtures and plugs
• Ability to read a tape measure, familiar with basic labeling, and experience with benders
• Must be open to enrolling in IEC program for further schooling and education in the trade
• OTHER: Associates Degree in Electrical or Vocational Degree in place of field experience
