Construction Superintendent

JOB SUMMARY:

The General Construction Division is looking for a Construction Superintendent for current and upcoming project needs across San Antonio who will support and oversee project efforts by providing project oversight, coordinating schedules, collaborating with PM's, reviewing budgets, material ordering and management, and overseeing job completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct daily site visits of active jobs.
• Schedule subcontractors and coordinate their activities.
• Rectify clashes and coordination issues with adjacent trades.
• Prepare and monitor 3-week look-ahead schedules.
• Prepare and submit daily reports.
• Execute punch lists.
• Coordinate inspections.
• Manage mobilization and demobilization.
• Oversee waste management and sanitary facilities coordination.
• Coordinate temporary fencing and tree protection.
• Develop schedules and cost-effective plans for project completion.
• Inspect work for quality and timeliness; prepare progress reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Ensure adherence to construction documents.
• Monitor project budgets and communicate variances.
• Maintain records of costs and inventory.
• Address safety violations and deficiencies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-4 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role
• Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for a construction job sites
• In-depth understanding of construction processes and operations
• Proficiency in MS Office and CAD software
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
