Summary:

The Fleet Service Coordinator is responsible for the "check in and out" process of the company's fleet of vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment. The Fleet Service Coordinator will work closely with the Fleet Manager to develop strategies for improving efficiencies and reducing costs in the department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensures all equipment is in proper working order and available for use.
• Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
• Receives, manages, and processes work order requests; ensures problems are resolved quickly.
• Acts as liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems.
• Drafts and implements preventive maintenance schedules for fleet and equipment.
• Ensures safety standards are followed throughout the department.
• Maintains inventory of supplies; reorders as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to maintain service record database and track inventory.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to Four years of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to physically perform repairs.
• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Good vision to inspect repair work.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
