Journeyman Electrician/Lineman

JOB SUMMARY:

The Utilities team is looking for experienced licensed Journeyman Electricians for current and upcoming project needs across San Antonio who will support the Utilities team with installing and maintaining electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems for Streetlight installations and maintenance per plans and specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings
• Install various types of conduit to electrical devices and equipment
• Drive Bucket Truck
• Ensure piping complies with electrical codes
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Install primary and secondary distribution and switchgear
• Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation
• Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed
• Replace conduit and wiring as needed
• Replace circuit breakers as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Texas
• Experience working on streetlights and can drive a bucket truck
• 2+ years of experience pulling wire, bending conduit, and installing fixtures and plugs
• Ability to size wire, read drawings, and interpret blueprints
• Ability to make up panels and transformers (terminating)
• PREFERRED: Valid CDL holder
