We're hiring an experienced mechanic to join our team!

Truck and equipment service, repairs and maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspections, fueling vehicles and other equipment as needed. Must be organized and able to work in a team environment.

JOB SUMMARY:

Capital's Operations team is looking for an experienced Mechanic who will support the divisions with duties such as: Conducting repairs, inspecting machines, troubleshooting reported problems, perform thorough maintenance on all equipment, and assisting the team with other duties as needed. Mechanic is responsible for ensuring reliability and functionality of all equipment and machines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lift and carry material and equipment weighing up to to 80 lbs
• Conduct repairs on machines, equipment, and fleet vehicles
• Perform thorough maintenance of all fleet vehicles, machines, and equipment
• Record tickets and keep logs of work and report on issues
• Work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold)
• Perform site clean-up duties such as: Sweeping, shoveling, throwing away trash, using power washer to clean driveways and sidewalks
• Carry out safety policies in place to avoid hazards (setting up cones, utilization of proper equipment and tools, wearing required PPE)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working outdoors in the elements (extreme heat and cold)
• Ability to carry up to 80 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and strong initiative - able to ask for direction once tasks are completed
• Reliable transportation
• Safety oriented mentality - Able to see potential job hazards and mitigate, as needed
• PREFERRED:
  • 1 year experience
  • Familiarity with heavy machinery
